On Sunday Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that he has no desire to become the Cheif Minister and if the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) wants, it can select and appoint its own leader to the post.
At the Jananta Dal(United)'s national executive meeting he was said saying this." I had no desire to become the CM. I had said that the public had given its mandate and anyone can be made Chief Minister,BJP could have its own Chief Minister."
Hours later he handed over the reign of JD(U) Cheif to his long time aide Ram Chandra Prasad Singh and said that he was under immense pressure from the coalition to continue as the Chief Minister.
Nitish Kumar said " After the Elections results came out, I made my wish known to the coalition. But the pressure was so much that I had to take up the work again."
Speaking to the media BJP leader Sushil Modi said "BJP-JD(U) alliance in Bihar is unbreakable." He added "The Government will work for five years under the guidance of Nitish Kumar."
