It appears to be a major setback for Maharashtra Government as the Bombay High Court on Wednesday passed an interim order on staying of transfer of the 102 acres of land to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to build a metro shed.

The Mumbai District Collecter through the state government had ordered the transfer of the Kanjurmarg salt plan which will be used as a metro shed on October 1. It was then handed over to the MMRDA on October 6 which then transferred it over to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRCL) on October 8.

Division Bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Girish S Kulkarni restrained DMRCL from carrying out further operations till the next meeting which will take place in February 2021.

The Metro Shed work was originally scheduled to take place in Aarey Colony in Mumbai but was later changed and was announced that the work will now take place in Kanjurmarg by Chief Minister Udhaav Thackeray.

Udhaav son' and Yuva Sena president Aditya Thackeray tweeted out this after the decision-
