The Mumbai Police on Wednesday arrested and suspended a police constable for allegedly molesting a 13 year old minor from the suburbs of Mumbai a few days ago.
The Cop who is attached to the Vile Parle police station, allegedly called the Class 8th Girl to his house where he committed this offence. The minor lives in the same neighborhood as his and was seen outside. He let her go after warning not to tell anyone about it.
The girl Frightened with fear didn't tell anything to her parents. They learnt it from someone else in the neighborhood and took her in their confidence. She then told about the incident.
Soon her parents lodged the complain and he was arrested. The name of the constable has not been disclosed for privacy reasons. He is booked under the Indian Penal Code of outrage modesty, assualt and wrongful restraint. He has been remanded in custody till December 20th and further inquiry is set to take place.
A Police officer told "The Girl knowns the cop. There families are acquainted. He committed the crime when his wife and other family members were not at home."
What are people supposed to do when the people who are supposed to protect others, start committing such heinous crime?
