"Not Scared of Anyone":Sanjay Raut as ED Summons His Wife in PMC Fraud Case

 

Following the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summon to his wife in the PMC Bank Fraud Case,Shiv Sena Leader Sanjay Raut has said that the act by ED is an "act of cowardice".

His wife Varsha Raut has been summoned by the ED for the third time this month and is now likely to meet the officials tomorrow 29th December. The agency is Investigating on alleged financial transactions between her and Pravin Raut who has been arrested in this case.

This was the 3rd time she was asked to join the probe regarding this case, first summoned on December 11. The case involves an alleged loan fraud in the Punjab-Maharashtra Cooperative Bank.

According to ANI Raut said "Targetting women of a household is an act of cowardice.We are not scared of anyone and will respond accordingly.ED needed some papers and we have submitted them in time."

He would even mock the ED saying that the ED has woken after 10 years. He said "We are middle class people.My wife had taken a loan from a friend 10 years ago to purchase a house. Details have been given to the Income Tax(Department) and also mentioned in my Rajya Sabha Affidavit.The ED woke up to this deal after 10 years."
