Renowned Tv & Film Actor Shiv Kumar Verma is suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and has tested negative for Covid-19. The Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) has sought financial help from fans as well as industry stalwarts in a bid to help the actor ail through the tough times.
When Amit Behl of CINTAA got the news on Wednesday, they immediately transferred Rs 50,000 for Verma's help, in accordance with the rules of CINTAA. Behl also revealed that Shiv Kumar is an active member of the association and his daughter approached them for help. Shiv Kumar was admitted to the hospital on November 30, Monday after he complained of breathlessness. The total cost of his treatment over next 10 days is likely to be around Rs 3-4 lakh, a letter from the hospital said.
“The reports (for coronavirus) may take time but we are preparing for the worse. As soon as we could manage to get details of his bank account, we posted the social media message seeking help,” Amit said, adding, “He is suffering from multiple issues.”

CINTAA also shared bank details of Shivkumar so that well-wishers can swiftly come to the aid of the ailing actor
CINTAA tweeted the same message thrice in past 12 hours, tagging Amit Behl, Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Sunny Deol and Manoj Joshi, among a few others in the tweets.
An India Today report said the actor is on ventilator. Shiv Kumar has featured in films like Baazi Zindagi Ki and Halla Bol, apart from several popular TV shows.
