An alleged Serial Killer accused of atleast 6 murders in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh was killed last night in an encounter with the Ratlam Police.
The accused identified as Dilip Dewal(38) who recently killed three members of a family in Ratlam was a resident of Dahod, Gujarat and died on the spot while five police personnel including 2 sub inspectors were injured in the encounter.
Ratlam Superintendent of Police Gaurav Tiwari said "A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of police got information on Thursday evening that Dilip was roaming near the Khachrod square of the city. When police cordoned off the area and tried to nab him, he ran towards and agriculture farm. Police personnel warned him but he started firing. Police also retaliated and fired."
After the gunfire, the police Investigated the farm and found him laying unconscious after being hitted by a bullet. He was then rushed to a local hospital were he was declared dead upon his arrival. In the encounter 3 constables and 2 sub inspectors have been injured and are now being treated by the doctors.
