During encounter with security forces, three terrorists were killed and a civilian got shot in his leg when terrorists opened fire, Kashmir zone police said . The civilian is stable now. The encounter took place on Wednesday(December 9) in Jammu & Kashmir's Pulwama District.
"They were local terrorists and affiliated to Al Badre. We're searching the area to ensure there's no old and unused grenade left there," said Vijay Kumar, IGP Kashmir on Pulwama encounter.
In the early hours of the day, security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in the Tikken area of Pulwama district on receiving information about the presence of militants there, a police official said.
He said the search operation turned into an encounter after the security forces were fired upon.
