On Wednesday the world got to the see the sight of Chinese Entrepreneur Jack Ma for the first time in nearly 4 months as he was seen giving a video conference to teachers during an annual event which he hosts to recognize rural teachers.
The Co-founder of Alibaba and Ant mysteriously disappared after his attack on China's regulatory system at a Shanghai forum. He then faced a suspension of around $37 billion IPO(Intial Public Offering) of Alibaba's financial affiliate Ant Group.
In the 50 second long video Ma was seen wearing a navy pullover and was speaking directly to the camera with grey marble walls in background. In the video he has been seen addressing teachers receiving the Jack Ma Rural Teachers award and apologize for the ceremony not been organized this year at the seaside city of Sanya.
In the video he has not mentioned the involvement of government in his business. It is now been reported that since his reappearance Alibaba's share gained more than 4% in Hong Kong.
After his disappearance, there were several rumours that he has been detained by the government. They have done that few times in past. Some rumours even accounted that he was dead but the government decided not to disclose the news.
