The Statue of Balasaheb Thackeray

Yesterday on the occasion of the 95th Birth Anniversary of Shiv Sena Founder,the Late Balasaheb Thackeray, his son and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray unveiled the statue of his father.

The Ceremony was attended by many highly named politicians including Uddhav Thackeray's cousin and President of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena(MNS) Raj Thackeray, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and Former CM Devendra Fadnavis.

The statue is located at the crowded place between the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya and the National Gallery of Modern Art in South Mumbai.

At the ceremony the CM said "It is an unforgettable moment in my life, like it is for every Shiv Sainik. There are some moments where you fall short of words to express your gratitude, and I think today is that day. Balasaheb remained cordial with all political parties at the personal level."
