Guide to Register for Corona Vaccination in India

 

With the central government of India starting the dry run of the COVID-19 Vaccination,soon the country would be hoping for a vaccine shot. Now the question arrives how does one register for the vaccination? What are the Requirements? Where will it take place? We got you covered.

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has recently announced that the vaccination in the first phase will be free for everyone. He has also appealed to the people to not misguided by rumours.

Who Will Get The Vaccine First?

Healthcare Workers- According to the recommendations of the National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID-19 (NEGVAC) around 1 Crore Healthcare Workers who are working with both the Government and Private Hospitals will be the first to receive the vaccine.

Frontline Workers- Around 2 Crore Frontline workers who have employed with the state and Central Police Services,Armed Forces, Civil Defence Organisation, Disaster Management, Home Guard,Prison Stuff, Municipal Workers and all those officials who are working with COVID-19 surveillance.

People Aged 50 Years- This group will then further be divided into People Aged 60 and People Aged 50.Anyone born on or before January 1,1971 will fall in this category.

Areas recording high COVID-19 infection rate.

Remaining Population- People below age 50 associated with comorbidities like Diabetes,Cancer, Hypertension,Lung Disease etc. And then finally the remaining population based on Disease epidemiology and vaccine availability.

How to Register for Vaccination at Session Site?

Common Services Centres will be needed to utilize for self registration. Self Registration module will be made available in later phases.

Individuals can select any method of authentication from the following methods-

Biometric- With this demographic details of the individual from name to a permanent address in Aadhaar Card will autofill this platform.

OTP Authentication- An OTP will be sent to a registered mobile number with an Aadhaar Card. If the OTP authentication is successful, the details of individual as per Aadhaar Card will be uploaded.

Demographic Authentication- An individual can also enter the details manually i.e Name,DoB,gender etc and select Demo Authentication.

What Documents Do We Need to Register?

To register, a person will be required to provide photo identity from one of the following-

-Aadhar Card

-Driving License

-Health Insurance Smart Card 

-MNREGA Job Card

-Offical Identity Cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs

-PAN Card

-Passbook Issued by Bank/Post Office

-Passport

-Pension Document

-Voter ID

Once Registered, Date and Time Will be allocated for Vaccination and the message will be send to the mobile number provided to Register.

How Have The Sessions Be Planned?

There will be one Waiting Room/Area for people. There will be a Vaccination room and once the process is done, people will be sent to the observation room for Half an Hour. If there are no side effects after 30 minutes of observations, the person will then be allowed to go home.

At What Time will be Vaccination Take Place?

All Vaccination Session will start from 9am and will be concluded on 5pm.
