Mumbai Locals to start for General Public from February 1,2021

 

After months of Speculations,Maharashtra's Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has allowed the entry of general public into the Mumbai Locals from February 1,2021.Known as the lifeline of Mumbai, the Railways Services for General Public had been halted since the outbreak of COVID-19 in March 2020. This announcement will surely bring some relief for general public.

Railways Services had been restarted since June,2020 for essential workers. With the decrease of COVID-19 and the start of Vaccination drive,it was just a matter of time on when this decision will be made.

The Government had allotted three times slots for general public. They will be allowed to travel through the Mumbai Locals in non peak hours.The first slot till 7am from the time the first train service starts in morning. The second time slot is from 12 noon to 4pm and the third one from 9pm till the last train service.
