Mumbai Locals to start soon says CM Uddhav Thackeray

 

Following a meeting with senior officals regarding the decision of reopening of Mumbai Locals for all general citizens, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has said that Mumbai Locals will start soon.

The meeting involved key officals from to the government,the Railways, Health Department and Municipal Corporations. At the moment only Essential workers with a valid ID card and women are allowed to board the Mumbai Locals.

In a statement issued by him,it said "The trains will soon be open for all. The Risk of Covid-19 spread has not yet ended.The possibilities and aspects to take the idea forward were discussed in today's meeting."

It has been rumoured that the general public will be allowed to travel in locals during the non peak hours. The Peak Hours of Mumbai Locals are 7am-11am and from 6pm-11pm.
