Red Fort Invaded by Protesters as Huge Violence breaks out in Delhi

In a shocking event on the 72nd Republic Day,huge violence broke out in Delhi as the Farmers Protest turned aggressive. In an unimaginable scenario, the Protestors were seen invading the Red Fort and plant their own flag.

With the Delhi Protest of Farmers in full swing, they had got approved for a tractor rally after the Republic Day Parade by the authorities. However the Rally started ahead of stipulated time.

The protesting farmers were given a time of 5 hours from Noon to 5pm for the rally. However some tractors broked down the barricades and cemented barriers.

The police started using tear gas but were soon outnumbered. The purported Group of Farmers then changed their route and started marching towards the Red Fort and invaded it. A person was then seen climbing the Red Fort and placing the Protest Flag.

The Protestors then started attacking the Police personnel and vandalising police vehicles and public transport. Rocks and Stones were thrown at some Officers and Media persons as well.

With the increase in Violence,the Internet Services in Several Areas around Singhu, Ghazipur, Tikri, Mubarak Chowk and Nangloi till midnight. Police were restored to use baton charge and tear gas as Nangloi started to became the epicenter of the protest.

Following the violence Home Minister Amit Shah has held a meeting with officials for a security review meeting. 

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha in their statement have expressed their condemn and regret following this unexpected turn of events. 

Their offical statement read "Despite all our efforts, some organisations and individuals have violated the route and indulged in condemnable acts. Anti Social elements had infiltrated the otherwise peaceful movement. We have always held that peace is our biggest strength,and that any violation would hurt the movement. We dissociate ourselves from all such elements that have violated our discipline."
