Nidhi Razdan, A Victim of Phishing Attack or Is this a Mind Game?

Yesterday Former NDTV Journalist Nidhi Razdan tweeted out that she had been a victim of "very serious phishing attack" after she learnt that the "offer" she recieved from well renowned Harvard University was fake.

She had received an email from supposed "Harvard University" to become an Associate Professor of Journalism at the University.Razdan had worked for 21 years and quitted NDTV last year to take up that offer.

In her statement on Twitter she said that she was asked to join the University in September 2020 but due to the Global Pandemic of COVID-19, her classes were postponed till January 2021.

After facing anomalies in administration, she decided to finally contact the University and found out the truth. She had infact not received any emails regarding this and has now filed case with the police and has requested to get the case to be solved quickly.

The Question now Arrives is whether she is a victim of phishing attack or Is She trying to divert minds?

Let's be honest, there are enormous emails which get spammed in our mail everyday. We even recieve emails which suggests us to not to reveal our private information (name, phone number, account number etc) so how can an Experienced Journalist of a renowned TV network get caught in this?

If she says that she received an email offering her a job at Harvard, why didn't she checked out whether it was legit or not? Other questions which arise are that if she was getting a job at Harvard, who took the interview of her? Where there no phone calls or interaction with senior officals of the university? Didn't she try to apply for Visa? Didn't she negotiate a salary? The Questions list just goes on and on.

The Boston Globe have now reported that there is no Department of Journalism at the Faculty of Arts and Science at Harvard University, nor is there a professional school of Journalism.

The University in their response have said "no record of,nor any knowledge of, an appointment involving Ms. Nidhi Razdan". They have also said that the names she mentioned are fake and there are no employees with such identities.

For Months Razdan has appeared on Television, Websites,Blogs and had been listed as an event speaker labelled with the term "Associate Professor of Journalism at Harvard University".

In September she even replied to a tweet saying that she was teaching at Harvard University. Here is that tweet-

So the Big Question which now is ahead of everyone is "Is She Really A Victim of Phishing Attack or is this some made up story she has used to cover up some bigger action.

Here is the Tweet we refered to in the first paragraph-

The Answer to this questions can only be verified by Razdan herself. As the Speculations around this continues we at the Su-Niti News would like to tell our readers to be very careful and not to fall for such cheap tricks.
