Rain Curtails Day 2 between India and Australia

The Second Day of the 4th and Final Test between India and Australia was halted at a crucial time and the day was cutted short due to rains in Brisbane.

Having Finished the Day at 274/5 Australia came out to bat on Day 2 with full of confidence and momentum on their side. Green and Paine started off where they left of yesterday as the duo started out strong on Day 2.

No sooner had he completed his fifty, Paine was dismissed by Shardul Thakur after he edged out the ball to Rohit Sharma. This was Sharma's third catch of the inning. In the next over Washington Sundar Completed stunned Cameron Green with his delivery as the Aussie completely missed the line and was bowled out.

In the next over Australia lost another wicket in the form of Pat Cummins through an LBW. In the span of 3 overs Australia lost 3 wickets in space of 4 runs as the score went from 311/5 to 315/8.

Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood then played some good shots and helped Australia to a score of 369 in 115.2 overs.

In their response,India didn't get a good start as they lost Shubman Gill quickly with the score at 11/1. Once again Rohit Sharma got off to a great start but was unable to convert it into a big score as he was dismissed at 44 after trying to lift the ball over the boundary.

With the score at 62/2 with Pujara and Rahane in the middle for India, the rain started pouring. After a delay of around 2 and a half hours, the Umpires decided to call it a day and ended Day 2.
