A wave of sadness has hit the Pandya family this morning. On Saturday (16 January) morning, Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya’s father, Himanshu Pandya left for heavenly abode after suffering a cardiac arrest. After hearing the news, Krunal Pandya who was leading Baroda in Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy has left the bio-bubble to be with his family during these challenging times.
On the other hand, Hardik Pandya is alongside his family as he was preparing for the white-ball series against England. Speaking of his brother, Krunal Pandya he scored a match-winning 76 in the opening game against Uttarakhand in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. Apart from performing with his bat, Sr. Pandya has also grabbed four wickets in the first three games.
- The cricket fraternity has been pouring out condolences for the Pandya brothers and their families. Former India cricketer, Irfan Pathan has also sent condolences to the family.
Team India's ex-captain Virat Kohli has also expressed his grief over the sudden passing away of Himanshu Pandya, asking Krunal and Hardik to stay strong.
- Several other cricket famers like Legendary cricketer- Sachin Tendulkar, Hanuma Vihari, Yusuf Pathan, etc have paid their condolences.
It is to be noted that, Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya’s father was the backbone of their cricketing career. He sacrificed many things to provide his sons with the best cricket practise. Both his sons always respected him for all that he has done for them. They never missed a chance to lift up his face with a smile.
