Delhi Police Arrests Maninder Singh who waived sword at Red Fort during Republic Day Riot

The Delhi Police on Tuesday evening (16 February 2021) arrested Maninder Singh alias Moni (aged 30), who waved a sword at the Red Fort during the tractor mayhem taken 26 January (Republic Day) against three farm laws.

Maninder Singh, who was wanted in the Red Fort violence case, was nabbed from the vicinity of Pitampura. Two swords have been recovered from his house in Sindhi Colony of Swaroop Nagar. Maninder works as an AC car mechanic and runs a sword training school in an empty plot near his home.

Earlier, actor Deep Sidhu, Sukhdev and Iqbal Singh have been arrested in the Republic Day violence case. The police had announced a cash reward of Rs.1 lakh to those giving information about Deep Sidhu, Jugraj Singh, Gurjot Singh and Gurjant Singh. Apart from this, the police had announced a cash prize of Rs.50,000 for those giving information about Jajbir Singh, Buta Singh, Sukhdev Singh and Iqbal Singh.
