Petrol Price crosses Rs 100 Mark for the first time in Rajasthan

 

Amid the constant hike in prices of fuels(Petrol and Diesel) in the major cities of the country, Rajasthan's Sriganganagar saw the price of Petrol cross the Rs 100 mark with one litre of petrol being priced at Rs 100.13 today.

This is the first time that the price of Petrol in Rajasthan has crossed the three figure mark after the fuel rates were hiked for a 9th day in a row.

Fuel prices differ from state to state depending on the implementation of local tax such as Value Added Tax(VAT) and freight charges. Rajasthan is said to have been implying the highest VAT on petrol in India.

After the hike in prices on Wednesday, Petrol and Diesel in Delhi costs Rs 89.54 and Rs 79.95 per litre respectively. Whereas the price in Mumbai for one litre of petrol is Rs 96 while the price of diesel is Rs 86.98 per litre.

There have been many Protest by politics parties against the Centre Government in regarding this matter and have demanded for the reduction of prices in fuel.
