The security forces on Monday encountered one of the most wanted militant, a high commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) Vilayat Hussain Lone alias Sajjad Afghani in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.
According to the reports, he was killed in a fresh exchange of fire with security forces in Rawalpora area where an Anti-Militancy Operation was launched on Saturday.
Yesterday a militant of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) identified as Jahangir Ahmad Wani was also killed in a gunfight between the forces.
