In the view of rising number of COVID-19 cases in India, the Gujarat Government has announced Holi Celebrations in the state will be restricted. This announcement was made by Gujarat's Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel.
The Government though, has allowed religious ritual of 'Holika Dahan' to be practised with crowd restrictions.
"No permission is granted for the celebration of Holi. Action will be taken against violators. However I believe the people of Gujarat will follow rules and will not play Holi" announced Patel while entrusting the Citizens.
Holi, the colour of festivals will be celebrated on March 29 while the Holika Dahan will be held on the evening of March 28.
