Almost a week after both India and Pakistan agreed to follow the 2003 Ceasefire Pact on the Line of Control (LoC), India on Friday said that it wants "normal relations with all neighbours including Pakistan."
Both armies have said to be strictly following the Ceasefire Pact since the midnight of February 24. When asked about his response, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Anurag Srivastava only said that all issues between the two sides should be tackled peacefully.
"India desires normal rrelations with all its neighbours including Pakistan. We have constantly maintained, that issues, if any, between India and Pakistan should be resolved bilaterally and peacefully."
Tensions have always been a high between both countries ever since the partition in 1947. In recent times, India has also been on a standoff against China after the Galwan Valley incident at Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh in June,2020. However there has been a disengagement of Chinese Army from the Ladakh border as round of military talks between the two continue.
