Mumbai records it's hottest day of the season so far with 38.1 Degree Celsius


Uffff its damn hot today! 

If that's what your reaction was yesterday, then don't worry you were not the only one in Mumbai who felt that way. Yesterday the City of Mumbai recorded it's hottest day of the summer season so far with the temperature scale measuring a high of 38.1 Degree Celsius.

Normally in the month of March, the temperatures in Mumbai range from a low of 27-28 to a high of 32-33 Degree, however the temperature yesterday was being normal. It was almost 5.2 degrees above average temperature.

In just the 4th day of March, the temperature has already surpassed last year's highest temperature in March which was set on March 17 with the Mercury at a high of 37.5 Degree Celsius.

On Wednesday the temperature was 37.3 Degree Celsius which meant that for the fourth consecutive day in Mumbai, the temperature was above of 35 Degree indicating the onset of Summer.

According to the Indian Metrological Department the temperature can soar past 39 Degree in the upcoming days as the all time high temperature in the month of March was Recorded nearly 65 years ago on March 28,1956 with 41.7 Degree Celsius.

Since 2011 the maximum temperature in March has crossed the forty mark 5 times in 2011,2013,2015,2018, and 2019. Their is a high chance of 2021 of getting its name added in that list.
