Complete Lockdown to be imposed in Maharashtra? CM Uddhav Thackeray to chair all party meeting today

The enormous surge in COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra is in full swing. The state reported 58,993 new cases and 301 deaths on Friday. Due to this, CM Uddhav Thackeray has called for an all party meeting via video conference today and the possibility of a complete lockdown is very likely.

The Maharashtra Government has imposed a weekend lockdown in the state starting from Friday 8pm to Monday 7am. Another worrying factor in the state of Maharashtra is the shortage of vaccine doses.

According to sources, the meeting will be attended by prominent leaders of three parties involved in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). The meeting will also involve leaders of opposition parties including BJP, MNS, APS, and SP.
