Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Requests Centre to Cancel CBSE Board Exams

Considering the rising COVID-19 cases in the country, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has requested the Centre to consider cancelling Classes 10 and 12 CBSE Board Exams 2021.

"Six lakh children in Delhi are going to write CBSE exams. Nearly one lakh teachers will be a part of it. These can become major hotspots leading to large scale spreading of Corona. Children's lives and health is very important to us. I request Centre to cancel to CBSE Exams" said CM Arvind Kejriwal.

"Some alternative methods could be thought of. Children can be promoted this time on the basis of either an online method or internal assessment. But the CBSE Exams should be cancelled" added Kejriwal.

Yesterday the Maharashtra Government announced that the Board Exams which were scheduled to be taken in April, has now been postponed to a later date.

Many prominent leaders and celebrities have also joined this moment and have called for the cancellation of examinations with tweets of hashtag #cancelboardexams2021.

What do you think about it? Should the exams be cancelled or postponed to later dates? Feel free to give your opinion below.
