A day after the timings of essential services by Maharashtra Govt were restricted for four hours from 7am to 11 am, some goons of BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) were seen in several locations of Mira-Bhayandar area of Thane District on 21st April 2021, Wednesday receiving bribes from shopkeeper after threatening them on roadside.
A group of about 5-7 men had come in a truck and were seen harrassing mere fruit sellers and some other shopkeepers at 10:30 am on Wednesday. This incident was eye-witnessed by the local people and customers. When a shopkeeper was asked about those men from BMC and their activities, they denied to speak a word.

These sort of Activites are quite common in Mumbai. Strict action Must be taken against these goons. pic.twitter.com/OoqMIcrBZN
Such acts are not quite unusual in Maharashtra, but the problems arise when cases of bribery and extortions increase and become a threat. Not just local authorities but also the higher authorities must ensure strict penalty or punishments on goons like these.
