Israel lifts public face mask mandate

As the world whole continues to battle against the global pandemic of COVID-19, there are some countries which have handled the situation were well. One of this such countries is Israel. Due to a drop in COVID-19 infections, the health ministry of Israel has now cancelled the mandatory wearing of face masks in open air.

Another key reason for this decision is vaccination drive. According to reports from Israel, around 81 per cent of the citizens or residents above the age of 16 have been vaccinated in Israel.

As they saying goes "Prevention is better than cure", the COVID-19 restrictions still remain intact. However Schools have been reopened in the country.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said "We are leading the world right now when it comes to emerging from Coronavirus. (But) we have still not finished with the Coronavirus. It can return."
