Online registration mandatory to get COVID-19 Vaccine

As the country prepares for the third phase of Vaccination which will see people of age group 18-45 get vaccinated from May 1, will require mandatory online registration on the Co-Win platform as walk in registration will not be permitted.

The Registration for Vaccination will start from April 28. The measure to avoid walk in registration is taken to avoid crowding at vaccination centres.

"An increased demand is expected once the vaccination is opened for all. For the purpose of crowd control, registering on Co-Win Portal and making an appointment to get a vaccine will be mandatory for those aged between 18 and 45 years. Walk-in will not be allowed in the beginning so that there is no chaos" said an official.

The country reported more than 3 lakh cases for a fourth straight day on Saturday as 3,49,691 new cases emerged. The active cases in India has now risen to 26 lakh. Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Nawab Malik has announced that the state will vaccinate their residents for free.
