16-year-old raped in Mumbai by Six Men including two of her "so called" friends

In a completely shambolic act of humanity, SIX MEN have been arrested by the Mumbai Police for allegedly raping a 16 year old girl on May 31. What's more shocking is that two of the arrested were her friends.

The Malwani Police have said that the accused are between 18 to 23 years and are booked for rape under the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children under Sexual Offences Act.

According to the police, the girl allegedly went to a birthday party on May 31 when she was raped multiple times. 

• "There two of the four accused pushed her into the car and allegedly forced themselves on her. Two others stood outside the car to keep a watch" said the police who added that the four fled the spot immediately after that.

"As the girl was afraid of going home late at night, she went to a friend's house where this friend also raped her. Later the girl contacted another friend and went to his house to stay. She was raped by that friend as well" added the police.

As the victim didn't reach home that night, her family launched a kidnapping complaint. While searching for her, she reached her home on the morning of June 1.

After being enquired by her mother about her whereabouts, the girl narrated the entire story as her mother took her to the police station and registered a case.

Subsequently six people were arrested on Friday and Saturday. A medical examination is being conducted as of yet with the report still pending. Further investigation is underway.
