Delhi Unlock: Shops to operate on odd-even basis;Metro to resume from June 7

As Delhi continues it's step by step unlocking process, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced that the markets will be reopened in the national captial and Metro services will resume from June 7 with some conditions.

Shops in market and malls will be reopened on Odd-Even formula from Monday. Essential item shops and chemist are allowed to open every day as the odd-even rule won't apply to them.

  • "Lockdown will continue with more relaxation in other activities. Shops in market and malls to be opened on odd-even basis from Monday. The shops will be allowed to open from 10 am to 8 pm. Private offices will be allowed to function with 50 per cent staff" said CM Arvind Kejriwal.

The Delhi Metro will also resume operations from June 7. The seating capacity will however be only 50 per cent.

For Public sector offices, Group A employees will be allowed to work all days with 100 percent capacity whereas all other Groups will only work upto 50 percent capacity. Kejriwal also emphasized on work from home policy.
