England 0-0 Scotland; Pressure mounts on Gareth Southgate following goalless draw


One of the most hyped game of the Euro 2020 Group Stage saw fierce rivals England take on Scotland on Thursday at the iconic Wembley. There is no love lost between these two, however history suggested England having the upper hand.

These hype hit other heights when Phil Foden went all Paul Gascoigne with his new haircut reminding the folks about the Euro 96 2-0 win against Scotland in which "Gazza" scored *that* goal.

However the match turned out to be "Expectation vs Reality" match up as the game finished in a dull and disappointing 0-0 draw as the hosts missed a good chance for early qualification. This also turned out to be the first goalless draw between these two rivals in 33 meetings at Wembley.

In Reality Scotland held their own against the certain favourites England. The one clear chance England had to score came in the 11th minute through Manchester City centre back John Stones, whose header cannoned back off the goal post.

England will now face Czech Republic at the Wembley in the final game of the group stage. Whereas Scotland will host Croatia at the Hampden Park.
