Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi drives tractor to Parliament; Several Congress Leaders Detained

 

On Monday, in protest against the three laws, Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi, along with several Congress leaders and supporters reached the Parliament while driving a tractor showing his support to the farmers.

Later the Delhi Police detained Randeep Surjewala and other Congress Leaders over the tractor protest.

"I've brought the farmer's message to Parliament. The government is suppressing the voices of farmers and not letting a discussion take place in Parliament. They'll have to repel this black laws. The entire country knows these laws only favour 2-3 big businessmen" said Rahul Gandhi.

Thousands of farmers from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana have been protesting in Delhi for over 8 months. A group of 200 farmers led by Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait have started camping at Delhi's Janta Mantar which is very close to the Parliament.

Speaking of the Parliament, the session were adjourned again in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha due to the continuous uproar by the Opposition.
