Parliament Ruckus: TMC MP Shantanu Sen snatches report of IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and tears them

The High Voltage Drama and Ruckus continued in the both houses of the Indian Parliament for a third straight day of the Monsoon Session as Opposition ministers continued their protest over various issues including the Pegasus Spyware Report.

In a shocking event in the Rajya Sabha, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was forced to cut his statement short due to the uproar by the Opposition MPs.

No sooner did he stood up for this statement, Trinamool Congress MP Shantanu Sen snatched his papers, tore them, and flung them at Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh. This led to a war of heated words between Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and TMC MPs.

The Rajya Sabha was then adjourned till tomorrow (23rd July,2021), the third time through the day. It was first adjourned till 12 pm and then till 2 pm.

Similar scenes were reported from the Lok Sabha as well. It was adjourned thrice, the last time till 4 pm.

The Question Hour barely lasted 12 minutes as Speaker Om Birla adjourned the House till 12 pm. The chair was later taken over by Bhartruhari Mahtab who suspended the house the second time after protesting ministers ignored his pleas to return to their seats.

Lok Sabha has now been adjourned till 11 pm tomorrow 23rd July,2021.
