On Saturday, Indian Star Shuttler PV Sindhu suffered a heartbreaking loss in the semi finals of the women singles, losing 18-21, 11-21 to world number one Tai Tzu-Ying of Chinese Taipei. Sindhu will now face China's He Bing Jiao in the bronze medal match tomorrow.
She was able to match Tzu-Ying shot per shot but it wasn't enough as her opponent ended up taking the first game 21-18. Pressure mounted on Sindhu as he needed to win the next game to stay alive in the semi final.
However BWF Women's Single number one proved the world about her ranking as she took the second game 21-11 to advance through to the final.
