In a shocking event, a Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader and his wife were killed in a terror attack in south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Monday. BJP's Kisan Morcha leader, Gulam Rasool Dar and his wife, Jawahira were shot dead at Anantnag's Lal Chowk area. This was later confirmed by BJP Jammu and Kashmir spokesperson Altaf Thakur who condemned this act as barbaric and cowardly.
The couple were rushed to the hospital following the attack, but they succumbed to their injuries.
- Few hours ago, the security forces in Kashmir had seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition. The seizures included two AK-47 rifles, four AK-47 magazines, one Chinese Pistol, ten pistol magazines, four Chinese grenades and 257 round AK-47 ammunition.
