More than 95 dead,150 injured in Kabul Airport Blast; US President Joe Biden vows redemption

 

In a shocking and heartbreaking event, four major terror blast (twin blast) on Thursday outside the Kabul Airport in Afghanistan claimed the lives of more than 95 people. More than 150 have been left injured. Thirteen US soldiers, including 12 Marines and a Navy Medic were among those were killed.

The Islamic State-ISIS-Khorsan (ISIS-K) later claimed the responsibility of this attack. They also released a picture of a suicide bomber. Kabul Airport saw two blast within minutes from each other. Two more blast were reported hours later.

The Airport which was already overwhelmed with cries of desperate Afghan nationals who wanted to flee the country following the resurgence of Taliban rule, witnessed more heartbreaking scenes following the blast.

US President Joe Biden later issued out a statement and vowed to make them pay.

"We will not be deterred by terrorists. We will not let them stop our mission.... We will continue the evacuation. We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay" said Biden.
