President Ram Nath Kovind welcomed in Lucknow for his 4-day visit to Uttar Pradesh.

On Thursday, President Ram Nath Kovind was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on his arrival at Lucknow.

In the President's 4-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, he will be taking part in various programmes scheduled in Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Ayodhya.

  • Today evening, President Ram Nath Kovind will grace the 9th Convocation of the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University in Lucknow. He will also lay the foundation stone of Savitribai Phule Girls’ Hostel. Tomorrow, the President will unveil a statue of Dr Sampurnanand, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and inaugurate an Auditorium at the Capt. Manoj Pandey Sainik School in Lucknow. On the same day, he will also grace the 26th Convocation of the Sanjay Gandhi Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow.
  • On August 28, the President will leave for Gorakhpur and after taking part in a function he will come back to Lucknow that day itself.
  • The President will also visit Ayodhya in a special train by Indian Railways on August 29where he will launch various projects related to the development of the city. The train will have all the facilities like free WiFi, a separate office for the President, and others. The President will also visit the construction site of Shri Ram Temple and perform Pooja.

The Indian Railways has also taken extra security measures which have to be followed strictly.
