On Tuesday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel's father, Nand Kumar Baghel (86) was arrested and sent to 15-day judicial custody by a court in Raipur for allegedly making derogatory remarks against the Brahmin community.
"As a son, I respect my father, but as a Chief Minister, none of his mistakes can be overlooked which disturbs the public order. No one is above the law in our government even if he is the Chief Minister's father" tweeted Baghel in Hindi regarding the development.

As per reports, Nand Kumar Baghel had called for eviction of Brahmins from the country. The FIR was lodged under sections 153-A and 505-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
