On Monday September 27th, the Maharashtra Police announced that all 33 people accused of gang-raping a 15-year-old over a period of 9 months, in the Dombivli area, have been arrested.
"One more accused arrested by the police. All 33 accused, including two minors, have been arrested. The two minor have been sent to Child Correction Home" said the Maharashtra Police in a statement.
Meanwhile, the victim was released from hospital on September 25.
The police have registered a case under Section 376 (Rape), 376 (N), 376 (3), 376 (D) (A) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children and Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act.
