In the latest development of the ongoing political drama in Punjab, Former CM Captain Amrinder Singh on Wednesday announced that he will be forming a new political party.
At a conference in Chandigarh Singh said "Yes, I will be forming a new party. The name will be announced once the Election Commission clears it, along with the symbol. My lawyers are working on it."
When asked about his rival Sidhu, Singh added "As far as Sidhu (Navjot Singh Sidhu) is concerned, wherever he fights from we will fight him."
- He however ruled out forming an alliance with the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) but said he is open to seat sharing.
You wanted to close doors on me, as i was raising voice of the People, speaking truth to power !

Last time you formed your own party, you lost your ballot, garnering only 856 votes … People of Punjab are again waiting to punish you for compromising on the interests of Punjab !!
Amrinder Singh tendered his resignation from the post of Chief Minister in September in "humiliation" after months of tensions within the party and with Sidhu.
