On Thursday, Mumbai Police said that an application has been moved by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch in the Sessions Court to issue a non-bailable warrant against former Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh.
As per claims of the Crime branch, the former IPS officer is untraceable. A hearing has been scheduled on October 29 by the court.
On Tuesday, the Chandiwal Judicial Commission issued a bailable warrant against Parambir Singh, in connection with an alleged corruption case of Rs 100 crore.
A case of extortion was registered on July 23 against Parambir Singh, Sachin Waze and others at Goregaon Police Station and the investigation was handed over to the Mumbai Crime Branch.
Singh alleged that former home minister of Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh, had indulged in "malpractices" and asked suspended Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waze to collect Rs 100 crores every month.
