As per a bulletin released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India has reported 358 cases of Omicron variant so far. 114 of such cases have recovered.
In the last 24 hours, the country reported 6,650 new cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, 7,051 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 3.42 crore.
The top 5 states with the highest number of active cases, at the moment, are Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Karnataka.
Fresh curbs for Christmas and New Year celebrations in Mumbai are expected to be announced later today. Further Updates to follow.
