Renowned American Actress Betty White, who made audiences laugh for seven decades, starring in popular sitcoms "The Golden Girls" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" passed away on Friday at the ripe old age of 99.
She passed away just over 2 weeks before her 100th birthday.
The Emmy winning comedienne enjoyed one of the longest careers in showbiz history. She started appearing regularly on TV in 1949.
"Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever" her agent Jeff Witjas told People magazine.
White is survived by her three stepchildren from her marriage to Allen Ludden, who died in 1981.
We at the Su-Niti News pay our deepest condolences to the lady who pushed open doors not only for herself but for many other women who dreamed of entering the broadcast industry.
