Rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim, chief of Dera Sache Sauda, currently lodged in Rohtak's Sunaria jail, has been granted furlough for three weeks on Monday.
He was arrested in 2017 and sentenced to 20 years in jail after he was found guilty of raping two of his disciples. He has also been convicted for murder of Indian journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati.
He has been asked to stay at his farmhouse in Gurugram and is not allowed to visit Sirsa.
This is not the first time that he will be walking out of jail. In the past, he had been granted emergency paroles, from sunrise to sunset, multiple times to meet his ailing mother.
