According to reports from ANI, the Income Tax Department (I-T) is conducting raids at the offices and residence of close aides of Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra Ministers Aaditya Thackeray and Anil Parab.

Earlier in the day, the I-T department conducted raids on premises of another Shiv Sena leader, Rahul Kanal in Mumbai.
These searches are report to be in connection with the alleged tax evasion by Yashwant Jadhav, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) standing committee chairman. Kanal is a member of the BMC's education committee and a trustee of Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi.
- A few days ago, the I-T recovered a sum of Rs 2 crore from premises of family and associates of Jadhav.
Meanwhile Sena leader Sanjay Raut once again questioned the reason for the raids at the party's leaders and labelled it at as an attempt to destabilise the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.
"Why're central agencies targetting a selected few from states like West Bengal and Maharashtra... don't they get anyone else from other states, it's a tactic to pressurise and destabilise the MVA govt," ANI quoted Raut.
