On Sunday, the Gujarat government announced that the movie "The Kashmir Files" has been made tax-free in the state. This announcement was made by Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel.
The Gujarat CMO tweeted ,"Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has decided to give tax exemption to the film 'The Kashmir Files' in the state."

The movie has also been declared tax-free in Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier, the Haryana government had declared the movie tax-free on Friday and directed Cinemas and Multiplexes not to charge state GST on the screening of the movie.
The movie which revolves around the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 has received unanimous positive reviews and is making solid profit at the box office.
Meanwhile filmmakers Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Agnihotri (director of the film) met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and were congratulated by him.
