SC rejects plea to postpone NEET-PG 2022

On Friday, the Supreme Court rejected a plea seeking to postpone the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG 2022) examination.

A bench led by Justice DY Chandrachaud said that the request to postpone the NEET-PG 2022 cannot be entertained as it would affect patient care and doctors' career.

  • The apex court noted that around 2,06,000 doctors have registered for the examination and postponing it will be prejudice these doctors' careers, may led to chaos and create uncertainty and deficiency of doctors in hospitals.

NEET-PG 2022 is scheduled to commence on May 21, 2022.
