Breaking: Veteran Comedian Raju Srivastava passes away at 58

On Wednesday morning, 58-year-old famous Comedian Raju Srivastava passed away after 41 days of being admitted to AIIMS, Delhi, his family confirmed.

After suffering a cardiac arrest during a workout session in a gym on August 10, he complained of chest pain and collapsed. Thereafter he was admitted to AIIMS, Delhi where he was on ventilator support for 15 days, after which he regained consciousness. But his health constantly deteriorated again after that.

Raju Srivastava was in the entertainment industry since the 1980s. He shot to fame after participating in the first season of the reality stand-up comedy show "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" in 2005.

He had also featured in films like 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya' and 'Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon' among others. He was also the chairman of the Film Development Council Uttar Pradesh.
