Maha ATS detains Jharkhand Maoist leader carrying Rs 15 lakh bounty from Mumbai

On Sunday, the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) detained a Jharkhand Maoist leader from Nalasopara, Mumbai.

• According to the ATS, he was identified as Karu Hulas Yadav (45), a regional committe member of the banned CPI (Maoist) in Jharkhand. He was also carrying a bounty of Rs 15 lakh.

He has been active since 2004 with more than 30 cases registered against him. He had come to Maharashtra for medical treatment.

Jharkhand Police have been informed about the operation and further inquiry is going on.
