PM Modi launches 5G services in Delhi

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 5G services after inaugurating the 6th India Mobile Congress at Pragati Maidan in Delhi.

The 5G telecom services seek to provide seamless coverage, high data rate, low latency and highly reliable communication system.

"With developments in technology and telecom, India will lead the industry 4.0 revolution. This is not the decade of India, but the century of India," PM Modi said in his address.

The three main telecom operators in India- Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea will initially launch the 5G services in a few cities across the country including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
