On Tuesday, the house of a man accused of raping and murdering a teenager was bulldozed in Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur in front of police officials.
Following the death of the teenager who was being treated in a hospital, her family, villagers, and members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) called for the accused's house to be demolished.
The 17-year-old girl and her family attended a wedding in a village in Fatehpur on June 22. However, she went missing from the wedding hall at about 11 pm, according to the girl's father.
After searching for hours, the victim's relatives filed a missing complaint with the police. The following day, the girl was discovered bleeding in an under-construction house near the wedding venue. She was hospitalized and remained there for three days before passing away from her injuries on Monday.
The police have arrested one of the four people who were involved in the incident.
